Thank you to all those who helped me raise money in Chideock xxI'm very pleased to say 2 more of our wheelchair accessible benches have now been installed on the Esplanade at West Bay, following the two that were installed at Hive Beach last month.
I'd like to say a huge thank you from my daughter Lucy and myself to all that contributed to the fund to buy the benches, in particular Jane Elliot from Chideock who organised a Cheese & Wine evening, the regulars at The Clock also in Chideock, Melanie Venn Ross who climbed Snowdon, Mary from Gorewell Farm, those who bought my calendar and cards (profits from) and the people that just stopped me in the street and gave me money - THANKYOU.
In the light of the Environment Agency recently cancelling their promised Boardwalk for wheelchair users at West Bay, it's great that Bridport folk have been so generous in helping those with limited access the opportunity to enjoy our wonderful coastline.
